SILENCE OF MY PRAYER

Often accused of not doing my prayer ” properly”, here are a few thoughts I have penned down in a poem….

SILENCE OF MY PRAYER

Will the implicit prayer deep in my heart go in vain…

And the soul weep inconsolably in pain…

Just like a shoot of tree washed in rain…

Will the mind get soaked in thoughts insane…

And deepen the lifeless slumber of my brain…

To fluster me that there is nothing to proclaim…

But then I recognize the power of my silent prayer…

Lacking the frenzy, it’s not as feeble as it may appear…

Spontaneous and facile, it’s not bound by any fear…

And nothing is hidden from Him as there is no sheer…

Like a father, listening to my plight with a patient ear…

Like a fleeting shadow, protecting me from an evil glare…

Melodious chirping of the birds, in skies so clear…

That sparkle in the eyes of a child, bringing joy and cheer…

Sudden smile on a face, suffering in despair…

Ants crawling in green grass, however small and mere …

Elements working in harmony, how well they cohere…

Embrace my belief in His existence so near…

Teaching the lessons of life in a course austere…

Convincing, that to His plans I need to adhere…

Motivating to move on and face the challenges in top gear…

Nothing to be offered except for love and care…

If His divine presence is accepted everywhere …

Only then, my silent prayer is pure and sincere…
